49 affordable family homes, under construction with contractors, Triton.
The £5 million investment deal has enabled the delivery of two and three bedroom family homes across a range of house styles. All of the properties will be available under the Rent-to-Buy model, with a number of the properties being offered at affordable rent levels.
Cllr Mather, Cabinet Member for Housing at Kirklees Council, said: “The council is delighted to be supporting this scheme that will provide local people with high quality housing. Securing new quality homes for our residents and generating job growth are both key priorities for the Council and this development will bring benefits on so many levels: providing new homes but also supporting the local economy and enhancing the appearance of Chickenley by bringing a vacant and unused site back into use.”
