Steve Partridge

Steve is a senior leader and highly regarded national expert in housing finance with over 25 years’ experience in public and private sectors in business planning, investment appraisal, financing and the development of new homes. He continues to provides consultancy support to QSH in various capacities, as Finance Director of the company and as a non-executive director on the board.

Steve specialises in working with housing providers to build their financial capacity, to assess options for, and then implement the delivery of, new and better housing through all routes: including “traditional” public and private finance, new housing companies and Joint Ventures, and innovative ways to bring new sources of private finance into affordable housing.

Since 2013, Steve has been QSH’s Finance and Investment Director and has led the raising of up to £30m of new types of private finance including developing from scratch the design and delivery of a new model for equity and commercial loan finance to develop 200 new homes for affordable rent and rent to buy.

Prior to QSH, Steve was the lead finance director for the Chartered Institute of Housing, acting as MD of their in-house consultancy and leading the provision of all financial policy inputs to ministers and senior government officials over a 4 year period. Steve played a key role in the design and delivery of self-financing for council housing in England and Wales, acting as a Senior Government Adviser.
